FERRY is a queer nightclub in Rotterdam where, every weekend, drag queens set the tone. As MCs, performers, and hosts, they bring the club to life. Over an extended period, I worked on a photo series documenting this vibrant world. Each weekend, I photographed the queens and spoke with them about their personal stories and experiences.

This photo series captures more than just the performances, it reveals the entire process: getting into makeup, getting dressed, the nerves and focus backstage, the breaks in between sets, and all the pink chaos that surrounds it. Through these repeated visits, I became part of their world and that sense of intimacy comes through in the images.
